Professional Activities and Experience
In addition to a semester abroad at the University of Texas at Austin, I had the opportunity to work as a summer intern at Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory (LLNL), California. During this time, I became familiar with the MFEM finite element library, which I subsequently introduced as a research tool for my colleagues and collaborators in Dortmund.
Following this initial stay, I returned to LLNL for extended research visits and also conducted research at the Scripps Institution of Oceanography in San Diego.
I have been nominated twice for the MFEM Visualization Contest awards and received the Best Thesis Award from the Department of Mathematics at TU Dortmund University.
Furthermore, I was a co-organizer of the MoSt 2020 workshop on Modeling and Simulation of Transport Phenomena.
