Research Visits

International research collaborations are an important part of my work. In addition to conference travel, I have conducted research visits at the following institutions:

These visits have fostered collaborations in computational mathematics, scientific computing, and geophysical fluid dynamics.

Open-Source Software

Open-source scientific software plays a central role in my research. My group and I primarily use the C++ MFEM finite element library for the development and implementation of new numerical methods.

I have contributed to the MFEM ecosystem through the Remhos miniapp developed within the CEED project. Previously, I have participated in the implementation of the FESTUNG discontinuous Galerkin framework.

Scientific Service

I have served as a reviewer for the following international journals:

  • Computers & Fluids
  • Journal of Computational Physics
  • SIAM Journal on Scientific Computing

Furthermore, I co-organized the MoST 2020 workshop on Modeling and Simulation of Transport Phenomena.

Awards and Recognition

My work has been recognized through several awards, including the Best Thesis Award from the Department of Mathematics at TU Dortmund University and the Ernst P. Stephan Award 2026 for Mathematics and the Environment, awarded by the Foundation Mathematics and the Environment.

In addition, I have been nominated twice for the MFEM Visualization Contest awards.
